Using solar power generated from parking lots to help decarbonize corporations
Full-scale sales of the carport-type solar power generation system for corporate customers, "OHISAMA CAR Roof For Business," to be commenced on December 1, 2021

~Operates in combination with the emission coefficient-based menu, realizing substantially 100% renewable energy~

2021/11/15

Energy solutions provider Sinanen Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takashi Yasuda, hereinafter "Sinanen") will launch its new carport-type solar power generation system, OHISAMA CAR Roof For Business, on December 1, 2021 for corporate customers seeking to help decarbonize society.

It's a solar power generation system that when installed acts as a roof for parking lots adjacent to offices, factories, and other places of business. It contributes to decarbonization by promoting the corporate use of electricity derived from renewable sources.

■A great way for corporate customers seeking to boost electric self-sufficiency through the use of renewable energy

Sinanen has been selling our OHISAMA CAR Roof® carport-type solar power generation system installed in parking lots, to individual customers since 2012, and we have sold more than 1,000 units to date. We have also undertaken more than 30,000 maintenance contracts for home-based and industrial solar power generation systems.

Towards the realization of a carbon neutral society and carbon neutrality in 2050, corporations in Japan are increasingly shifting to 100% renewable energy for their own internal use. Some companies have already introduced solar power generation for their own consumption, using the rooftops of their offices, factories, and other businesses. In many cases, however, this is not enough to cover their power needs.

In light of this situation, Sinanen is leveraging its knowledge and experience with solar carports for individual customers to meet the needs of companies seeking to increase their electrical self-sufficiency through the use of renewable energy, and has begun to offer our OHISAMA CAR Roof For Business to corporate customers.

■4 features of OHISAMA CAR Roof for Business

  1. Sinanen provides a one-stop service throughout Japan. This covers sales, design, application for various subsidies including the Ministry of the Environment's Renewable Energy Business Support Fund, application for building permits, installation work, and even after-sales maintenance.
  2. Thirty 360 W solar modules make up the roofing of the 4-vehicle parking lot, generating a total output of 10.8 kW. In addition, improved design with double-glass modules provide a larger amount of actual power generation, while reducing the cost of roofing materials and increasing fire resistance.
  3. The product is scalable and can handle everything from 4 vehicles to hundreds according to customer needs.
  4. When combined with the emission coefficient-based menu of SINANEN Green Electricity, all electricity used is substantially 100% renewable, with CO2 emissions reduced to zero.
