From July 1, 2024, Melife Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Fukio Tsukagoshi), a subsidiary of Sinanen Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Taro Nakagome), a comprehensive energy, housing, and daily-life services provider, began gradually providing electricity with a 100% effective renewable energy ratio to all business sites of Besterra Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director & President: Yutaka Honda).

■ Supplying electricity with an option for a 100% effective renewable energy ratio

As part of efforts to help all customers in their communities achieve decarbonization of energy consumption, Melife sells environmentally friendly energy options such as "MELIFE DENKI Carbon Neutral Electricity" and "Melife carbon neutral LP gas," both which use non-fossil certificates to achieve effectively zero CO2 emissions.

In this new initiative, we are providing electricity with a 100% effective renewable ratio to Besterra, who offers a variety of high-value-added plant-related services with a focus on dismantling plant equipment. Also our Medium-Term Management Plan, known as "Decarbonization Action Plan 2025," details a strategic direction to contribute to the global environment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in mind, and considers activities to maintain a sustainable global environment as one of the important issues.

In order to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Melife will now supply all Besterra business sites with effectively 100% of its electricity from renewable energy sources. The annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (including non-fossil certificates) resulting from this initiative is expected to be approximately 55 tons per year.

Sinanen Holdings and Melife will continue to develop services that address diversifying lifestyles and changes in needs to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized and sustainable society.
