(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & COO: Eijiro Katsu; hereinafter referred to as "IIJ"), a comprehensive provider of network solutions, with the purpose of promoting the digital transformation (hereinafter referred to as "DX")* that was set forth in the medium-term management plan, and to realize a digital workplace (hereinafter referred to as "DWP").

Founded in 1927, SINANEN HOLDINGS is a company that develops comprehensive energy, home and life service businesses such as an energy wholesale and retail peripheral business for consumers, an energy solution business for corporations, and non-energy businesses (building maintenance & management, bicycle-sharing and antibacterial agent manufacturing, etc.) With the main energy businesses, in various areas we supply and provide maintenance for such things as LP gas, kerosene and electricity. Since stable supply is a prerequisite for infrastructure that supports daily life, high stability and reliability are required for the IT platform that supports the business. In particular, the challenge was to reduce the work burden on employees during busy times when energy consumption is increasing, and to create a telework environment that flexibly supports diverse styles of working.

With the IT platform, in addition to improving the work environment of employees, in order to flexibly respond to changes in the needs of customers and the business environment for all businesses, we looked into building a cloud-based next-generation IT platform because it was difficult to operate and manage the servers in-house with an on-premises model.

Therefore, as a partner for building the next-generation IT platform, we selected IIJ, which provides cloud-based digital workplace-related services that can realize high security and a strong communication network.

By building this next-generation IT platform, all office work has gone online, and telework and web conferencing can be done in a comfortable communication environment even during a period of working from home after the declaration of an emergency, or during busy times. This has made it possible to improve the efficiency of office work, and we have been able to stably do our work with regards to social infrastructure. By moving to the cloud for the future, we expect to utilize AI, IoT and big data, as well as collaborate with other cloud services, and further improve business operations in each department.
