Melife Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masaki Yamazaki, hereinafter "Sinanen Holdings"), a comprehensive energy, housing, and daily-life services provider, is pleased to announce the adoption of carbon neutral LPG, which offsets the CO₂ emissions of the LP gas it consumes through the purchase of voluntary credits, at all of its offices.

■ Starting in house with an eye to selling to customers in the future

With carbon neutral LPG, the CO₂ emissions produced in the life cycle of LP gas from drilling to final consumption are offset through the purchase of credits, which results in net zero CO₂ emissions.

Melife recently adopted carbon neutral LPG provided by ENEOS GLOBE Corporation, which uses voluntary credits for which a non-governmental organization evaluates the reduction effect. By adopting this carbon neutral LPG at all its business locations, Melife will achieve net zero CO₂ emissions in the life cycle of the LP gas it consumes at its offices.

Going forward, while promoting the use of carbon neutral LPG within internal operations, Melife is expanding its sights to include sales to companies and organizations that actively engage in environmentally friendly initiatives in response to market trends and customer demand. In addition, it will look into offsetting the CO₂ emissions of electricity, kerosene, and other products in the future.

Melife will continue to develop services that address diversifying lifestyles and changes in needs to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized and sustainable society.
