■ Providing electricity with an option for a 100% effective renewable energy ratio

The Keisei Group is a comprehensive lifestyle business group that operates diversified businesses centered on the transportation industry, and mainly in eastern Tokyo, Chiba Prefecture, and Ibaraki Prefecture. This group has set the promotion of ecological urban development as a priority measure in D Plan, its long-term management plan, and to that end has been promoting initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality, including in the virtually zero CO2 emission operation of the Skyliner train service within Keisei Electric Railway. In order to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions in this context, Sinanen will now supply electricity derived 100% from renewable energy to Keisei Group company YourELM Keisei's Narita location. The annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (including non-fossil certificates) resulting from the introduction of this virtually 100% renewable electricity is expected to be approximately 3,800 tons per year.
Going forward, the Keisei Group plans to continue its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas and CO2 emissions in order to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

■ Contribution to further decarbonization through participation in the SINANEN Akari no Mori Project

As a project to protect and foster the natural environment for the next 100 years together with customers, the SINANEN Akari no Mori Project aims to achieve SDG goals 7, 13 and 15, and the Group has been working hard to produce measures to mitigate and adapt to climate change by promoting clean energy and forest protection activities. From FY2023, the Group will continue to actively work on initiatives to conserve the sea and ecosystems, in addition to conserving forests, with the aim of achieving SDG goal 14: Life Below Water.
YourELM Narita is also participating in this SINANEN Akari no Mori Project towards further decarbonization. The project activity costs are planned to be covered through the charging of 0.01 yen/kWh for the amount of power used each month, and Sinanen is also providing the same amount.

Sinanen will continue to contribute to the reduction of its customers' greenhouse gas and CO2 emissions by strengthening the development and expanding the introduction of renewable energy to reduce the environmental impact of society.
