Waste cooking oil: Recovered oil used in cooking, such as for fried foods
Refining: Extract impurities of waste cooking oil to create pure substance (biodiesel fuel)
Mix: Mixing refined biodiesel fuel and diesel

■ About B5 diesel

B5 diesel is a diesel fuel mixed with 5% or less of biodiesel. It fulfills the standards established in the Act on the Quality Control of Gasoline and Other Fuels and can be used in the same manner as diesel. Compared with standard diesel, B5 diesel can reduce CO2 emission by around 5%. This is due to plants being the source of the biodiesel included in B5 diesel, which do not emit additional CO2 when burned.

■ Future outlook

Starting with Chiba prefecture's Oil Square Tomisato, Sinanen will expand the sale of this product to oil square and kerosene centers operated by Sinanen in the Kanto region, and then consider expansion across Japan.

Sinanen will continue to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by expanding the introduction of renewable energy toward the realization of a decarbonized society.
