About SDGs
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are international goals adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015. They were outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
There are 17 goals, including eliminating poverty and hunger, education for all, and climate action, as well as 169 targets for achieving a sustainable world. The pledges include to leave no one behind.
The SDGs are universal goals to be adopted by all countries, both developed and developing. In Japan, not only the government but companies, too, are actively working on initiatives.
